Patricio Blanco (38) became area manager for Spain and Portugal at the start of May. Born in Argentina, Patricio worked in Argentina as a technician at a distribution company for power systems including diesel generators. He left Argentina ten years ago and moved back to Spain at the turn of the millennium to continue his career in the maritime market.
There he realized numerous projects for his then employer, a power systems and electronics Distribution Company, including the installation of diesel power systems in large ambulances.
In 2007 Patricio was appointed as sales manager at Webasto Spain, where he was responsible for the sales of heating and air conditioning units and other Webasto products to marine and RV sectors in Spain and Portugal.
"I am ready for a new challenge,” says Patricio. “I worked with Roel ter Heide, the owner of WhisperPower, for years and during those good times we achieved many successes.
A decade on I have a more all-round business approach. This new position will allow me to go further in various fields: maritime, mobile and solar-off-grid. I will also be managing the South American countries where, having lived there so long, I know the customs so well. The economic situation in South America is more positive than in Spain, although I also foresee good opportunities at this side of the Atlantic.”
