Italian tender specialists Scanner has unveiled a new line called the Cosmo Jet Diesel. Available in five sizes ranging from 3.20 to 4.20 m, it is powered by the new 110 hp FNM turbo-diesel engines. In addition to the obvious performance benefits, as the first tender to be fitted with jet propulsion the Cosmo Jet Diesel offers major synergies in terms of operating costs, practicality of use and lazarette placement.
With its simple, modern and functional design, the Cosmo Jet Diesel meets the most stringent technical requirements and each model can be custom designed. In developing this new range Scanner paid particular attention to strength: Tubes are made of hypalon-neoprene and all fibreglass parts have been made extra-thick in order to withstand significant loads.
Maximum interior space and cargo volume was another priority for the designers of the Cosmo Jet Diesel, while the lines of the hull and positioning of the propeller make the tender a real pleasure to drive. And with models available in 3.20, 3.60, 3.80, 4.00 and 4.20 metres in length, there is plenty of choice.
Seeing the success of Scanner’s earlier Cosmo 420 model, we can expect this new range to be among the top luxury tenders for superyachts in 2010.
