CNC has announced an exciting partnership with Jean Pierre Fantini. The talented designer will be responsible for the impressive interior design of the first Couach 5000 Fly, currently under construction at CNC’s facilities in Bassin d’Arcachon. This new 50-metre flagship of the CNC superyacht fleet is due to be completed in March 2011, with a second 5000 Fly slated for later launching.
The largest project yet attempted by CNC, the 5000 Fly is a semi-planing vessel built entirely of carbon reinforced Glass Kevlar®. Capable of reaching top speeds of 30 knots, the yacht will also behave like a displacement yacht at low speeds thanks to a fuel consumption of less than 200 l/h at 12 knots and a transatlantic range of over 4000 nautical miles.
In addition to combining a fast performance with displacement stability and strength, the 5000 Fly will be a spacious yacht offering over 500 square metres of interior volume. It will also have a large upper deck that can be converted into a helicopter landing pad.
